Traveling is Thrilling!

At least for those with an adventurous spirit. I consider myself to have a gypsy soul, and going to unseen places is my vice, which, God willing, I will be physically able to do until I die. These locations do not have to be far apart. They could be less than ten miles from your house. The key is to look at things from a different perspective.

When I see something, I immediately begin to wonder about its possible backstory. Who doesn’t appreciate a good backstory? It brings to life that still-life image/scenery you’ve seen a thousand times. It simply enhances your vision and fosters creativity that you may not have realized you possessed. Everybody does it! For example, the red tree in the photo below is within 100 feet from my house, and I walk by it frequently while walking my dog. The fog that covered the fields one morning gave this ordinary tree a completely different personality.

I’ve probably passed by the lighthouse you see below a hundred times, but I just turned around one day instead of walking forward this time. Suddenly, this commonplace object is discovered in a light that I had yet to notice despite having been there more times than I can count.
